Is The Civilian AR-15 Carbine Rifle An "Assault Rifle"?

What are your thoughts on this federal judge overturning California's ban on assault weapons, comparing them to a Swiss army knife saying that they're the 'perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment'?

The civilian A.R. 15 is a semi-auto, carbine, rifle protected under the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting or sport shooting but about citizens being armed against government tyranny, foreign or domestic, and the right to defend themselves from foreign and domestic tyranny. Because governments have been known to order police to stand down while violent mobs of marxist revolutionaries burn, loot and murder their way across an entire country, leaving law abiding citizens without police protection and on their own.

Military M16-A1 weapons, unlike civilian AR15 carbine rifles, have a selector switch that rotates from safe, semi-auto fire and fully automatic fire.

Military M16-A2 weapon, unlike the civilian AR15 Carbine Rifle, has a selector switch that rotates from safe, semiauto fire and finally to three round burst. This three round burst capability, just like fully automatic capabilities, is what designates our Infantry weapons as “military grade” weapons.

As an Airborne-Airassault Light Infantry veteran, we refer to ALL firearms as weapons but we never refer to anything as an 'assault-weapon'.

We do however distinguish between Military grade weapons and Civilian grade weapons.

A double barrel shotgun, a Remington 700 bolt action rifle and an A.R. 15 Semi-Automatic Carbine Rifle are CIVILIAN weapons.

An M16-A2 or an M4 Carbine are MILITARY weapons because, unlike the civilian AR-15 Carbine, the M16-A1 and M4 Carbine military weapons have the fully auto and three round burst selector switch assault capabilities (respectively) for laying down supressive fire in combat.

NO CIVILIAN WEAPON HAS A MILITARY FULLY AUTO NOR THREE ROUND BURST CAPABILITY AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT DISTINCTION BETWEEN A MILITARY GRADE WEAPON & A CIVILIAN GRADE WEAPON.

Now you may encounter veterans whom were POGs that can not make this distinction and they'll troll you with Marxist rhetoric while claiming their veteran status lends them authority on the subject of weapons (firearms) despite only approximately ten percent of the Army and Marines serve as active duty Infantrymen. The rest serve as support (POG) roles within the U.S. Army and USMC.

As an Infantry veteran, I teach my nephews that their air rifle, also known as a ‘b.b. gun’ , is a “weapon” but in no way does this insinuate that I'm somehow calling a 177 cal. Air Rifle a Weapon as an abbreviation for Assault-Weapon.

As an Infantrymen, a fowlers shotgun is a weapon. An elk hunter’s rifle is a weapon. A deer hunter's bow is a weapon. The civilian AR-15 Carbine Rifle is a weapon. A breach man's shotgun is a weapon. We have short, pistol grip, shotguns that an individual on a light Infantry breach team will carry for blowing apart locks or hinges on a door to gain access into a building during a military assault, but we don't refer to shotguns as Assault-shotguns.

Nowhere in the military do we use the term ASSAULT weapon. Noone whose ever used military grade weapons as part of their military profession in an Infantry, Light Infantry or Special Operations MOS would ever confuse a CIVILIAN Carbine Rifle with a MILITARY carbine rifle because we're fully aware of the major differences in the two. One having either fully automatic or three-round-burst supressive fire capabilities for military warfare and the other only possesses a civilian Semi-auto fire capability. Three round burst meaning each time you depress the trigger, three rounds fire in a quick automatic burst. Fully automatic meaning that each time you depress the trigger the weapon fires continuously til you release the trigger. And semi-auto meaning that each time you depress the trigger only one round fires until you depress the trigger again.

There's no such thing as a Civilian Assault Rifle and the AR-15 Carbine Rifle is a CIVILIAN GRADE CARBINE RIFLE. IT'S NOT A MILITARY GRADE CARBINE RIFLE. Nor is it designed with assault features.

  1. Although I do not own firearms, only traditional hunting bows, It's imperative that firearm owners never have their 2nd Amendment right infringed upon by ideological subversion nor by globalist political machinations lest tyranny should destroy the Constitutional Republic without resistance.
